What a remap does for a petrol Mercedes CLS
A petrol remap re-works the engine management calibration: air-fuel ratio, ignition advance and boost where fitted. The result is more power and a more immediate throttle, delivered by software rather than hardware changes.

Of the 5 petrol CLS engines in our data, this one comes 5th for power gain, which is 10 bhp below the CLS petrol average of 30 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 20 bhp and 35 Nm sits below that benchmark.
